The secrecy surrounding these Mantras reflects the extreme responsibility that comes with wielding such immense power.
Unlike regular spells or techniques, an Astra cannot simply be learned from a scroll or book. Often, the blessing of a higher deity or supernatural being is required for the Astra to be summoned, bestowing it with unparalleled destructive capabilities. Violating the conditions for summoning or using the Astra improperly can be fatal, as the cosmic forces involved are beyond normal comprehension and control. The Mantra for an Astra is stored in a special type of scroll, the text is cast in Living Ink which constantly moves about in an unsolvable cipher. Magic or truth-seeing eyes are needed to decipher it but mere deciphering wont impart the understanding needed to cast the Astra.
