Telus Estate
Once a border fort, the Telus estate is a historical artifact unto itself, having stood almost as long as Taldor itself. Endless renovations have left the stonework underneath untouched, but over time the walls were covered in expensive paneling, gilding, and silk, rendering it an opulent home ideal for extravagant parties... at least, until Baron Araig Telus recent unpleasantness.
With the removal of Baron Araig Telus's curse, repairs can now be seen on it, as things are cleaning up around the estate and the town below.
Purpose / Function
Houses the Baron of the Telus Barony as well as the lord of Thorp of Jambis. Being an old fort, the main structure can also be locked down to provide security.
Architecture
Historical boarder fort, turned into a residence. Made of stone, the residence can only be entered in by the front door which is lined by decorative murder holes and sold wooden doors that can be barricaded.
History
The building was originally a frontier fort built following the tracks of the First Army of Exploration ( Taldor Armies of Exploration ). After the Verduran Forest was pushed back by cutting down the trees and opening up the land, the fort become less important as a board fort, and was converted into a residence.
It has sense been used as a residence for the local lords and ladies. The Thorp of Jambis then grew up around to support the estate and promote trade in the region.
