Markōmazz-Tor

Capital of the Dwarf kindgom, which exists mostly underground. Most don't understand the extent of their holdings, as they only see this heavily fortified stonghold.
It guards the above ground pass which is the fastest and safest route through the mountains. This major trade route exists not only above, but below ground as well.
It is also the adopted homeland and refuge of the Gnomes, who live in harmony with Dwarves. Gnomes provide them with much needed magical expertise, while receiving the benefits of the strong Dwarven military protection.
