The Town of St.Valons

St.Valons has existed as a settlement for several hundred years. Its original settlers being retired members of the order who still wished to assist in its goals and mission. Having found rich fertile areas, and a large forest with an odd amount of diversity. they settled down north east of the fortress. Despite its close proximity to the fortress, it is not always safe due to the great forest which they harvest from. There are still many beasts which inhabit those woods.
The town boasts a great deal of farmers, first of the mundane crops such as grains, vegetables, and fruits. The second boasted service are farmers, and gatherers of special herbs, mushrooms, and other crops which may be used in reagents in spells and alchemy. The town is also known for its growing expertise when dealing with raising, and choosing the best trees to make weapons,tools, building materials, or even just furniture.
Its most famed festival is St.Valons day. This day is celebrated by great feasting, Jousting, brewing, alchemical contests, and a grand melee where all can participate in a combat of fists. This is all done in memory of the towns namesake St.Valons. A personage of many talents, and strengths who gave their life to defend the early settlers from horrible beasts which once inhabited the forests
