Formarith
Formarith is a country built on the backs of soldiers. A disgruntled general and scorned army from Estrium marched far from the country. Unpaid, and with no recompense for a hard fought campaign. Under their general they went east, joined by their families they started a great desertion and migration. The General who led them to the coast was named Islin Formarin. The grateful soldiers and families chose to continue to invest their power to the General, who named the land after his family name.
The people of this country have kept to their soldiering past, where perhaps the greatest pursuit is to join the armed forces in one way or another. With becoming an adventurer a close second. There is a level of honor within the nation spans from the army and its past. One must honor their promises, deals, and oaths. From the Protector chosen by the highest ranking officers of the army, to the lowest merchant. It is seen as a great disservice to lie, cheat, or swindle one out of what is fair. As such the people can become quite hostile to foreign merchants who are not always so forthright with their goods. The law punishes this severely with long times in prison, exile, or in the most extreme cases death.
A very practical people, one would not visit their lands for their architectural wonders, or their art and song. They prefer and lean to a more simple and purpose built life. A fortress is a fortress, no need to make it some grandiose bastion, and a home need not be fancy or built to impress. Opulence, and frivolous pursuits of wealth and art is often seen as silly and pointless. If anything the most an artist can do with approval in the country from its people is sing tales of war, battle, and great heroes. That at least serves the purpose to teach a lesson and wastes no resources.
Territories
Territory of Formarith: Capital region of the nation. It is a port, and also a site of great production. The region around the city is near large and old powerful forests. As well as located not far from rich mining operations.
Territory of Noran: Noran is located on a peninsula. It is home to some of the largest training grounds in the region and some of the largest population areas. It is also the fallback point from landborn southern invasions.
Territory of Rivon: Farms, horses, and growing populations regions reside there. It is expanding and beginning to flourish.
