Tinmen

Tinman has become the common name for the newest species inhabiting Seori's cities. Rather than being biological, however, tinmen are created by mortal artificers. Different artificers have different methods for creating arcanomechanical bodies, leading to drastical different appearances, but at their core, each tinman is the same. The creation of a true soul still eludes mortal capacity (although some researchers think they are much closer than others realize...), so all tinmen are created by the fusion of an incorporeal elemental soul with machine. The soul is generally willing, although amoral artificers may forcibly bind them, and sees the experience as a chance to experience a more complete picture of reality.
Tinmen generally have the same disposition as the souls bound inside, but they are distinct entities from elementals. Some artificers have been experimenting with mechanical ways to change the personality and cognitive faculties of their subjects, although others call this unethical.
