Holly Lothran (a.k.a. Seraphina Tealeaf)

Holly Lothran is the eldest child of Rowan Lothran, a locally famous adventurer, and Magnolia Leafwalker, a beloved local shopkeeper and expert in magical oddities, born in the Easthallow neighborhood of the Boloxol Pike at the end of the Listless Ages.
From a young age, Holly was known to have a passion for the unknown, and a tendency to wander off in search of something new and exciting. During her earliest years, her father and godfather, Deverell Lynk, would leave the Pike for weeks to months on end in search of treasure and adventure, leaving young Holly to spend her days at her mother’s shop, a derelict old ship that had been stranded and abandoned on a lower tier of the Pike.
While her mother’s work gave Holly an early introduction to the intricacies of magical artifacts and history, her passion always laid with dreams of following her father on his grand adventures. From a young age, she was known to disappear for hours at a time, exploring every inch of the Pike near Easthallow; as she grew older and more physically capable of escaping tricky situations, she began pushing against her parents’ boundaries and exploring the cities of Boloxol and Kakani on a regular basis.
When her father eventually stopped adventuring, following the births of the couple’s two younger children, young Holly began spending increasing amounts of time with his former business associate and long-time friend, Deverell Lynk, a local businessman and the head of the Easthallow Thorns crime family.
As soon as she reached adulthood, Lynk offered her the opportunity to join a voyage on his flagship, the Orcadia, scheduled to sail for six months on a trade route to the South.
Her wanderlust and desire to see more of the world, meet more kinds of people, and have more adventures resulted in the continuous extension of the trip. Ultimately, it would be eight years and countless tales before Holly would return to Easthallow, by then a well-regarded lieutenant in the Easthallow Thorns.
