Eclipse (iˈklɪps)
A global alliance of supernaturals who believe that humans don't deserve to rule the Earth.
Structure
Lead by collectives of Matriarchs and Patriarchs, much like councils.
Culture
Probably the most common sentient inhabitants of the Otherlands, as most Eclipsers refuse to live among humans unless it's necessary for one of their operations. Eclipsers are also the most frequent perpetrators of purposeful curses, which are frowned upon by most councils but Eclipsers usually see as completely justified. Many an Eclipser has lost (a) loved one(s) because a human happened to catch a glimpse of their non-human features (e.g. fangs), they found out about magic and were convinced the supernaturals they knew about would use their powers for wicked deeds (even if their magitypes leaned towards strengths in something like positive organic a.k.a. “life/nature/healing” magic), etc.
Public Agenda
Some branches want supernaturals to control the official governments of their areas, rather than just having secret councils. Some would rather see humans disappear entirely, whether that means banishing them to the Otherlands that supernaturals are often forced to inhabit or what have you.
History
While councils have always striven to make it possible for supernaturals to be able to safely coexist with humanity, Eclipse has always been the refuge of those whose anger and fear towards humanity runs too deep. Nobody knows when or where they first formed, what is certain is that they've been a bane upon both humanity and the more peaceful supernaturals for a very long time.
