Empire of Rantoran

Rantoran is an empire on the south-eastern corner of Kavarn. It is considered an empire in decline, despite once having an impressive military. It's known for its extensive road system, and well-trained military. The Emperor's daughter and heir recently married the fifth daughter of Clan Illisyr's matriarch, but the imperial princess was assassinated and her soul stolen shortly after the marriage. The Emperor has gone into seclusion in his grief, and appointed the Illisyr as Imperial Regent.
Additionally, the Gray Marches, with Deveran as their capital, are a semi-autonomous province of the empire, and currently lead the war against the corruption of Palto.
