Erawit
Erawit was a settlement on an island directly south of Yzel. Originally, it acted as an outpost for the river that emptied into bay just beyond the main peninsula in the area. For centuries, the Yzelians relied on the town there to be a gateway and monitoring station. As it was on the opposite site of the continent from Eoion, it was not used as a military installation and was primarily for merchant ships to pass by and restock on supplies.
In 436, a large storm blew into the bay and ravaged the island. Some believed it was Clohdus, one the Tekel gods, focusing on the land and deciding to see what would happen if it was bombarded by water. Others believed it was simply an unfortunate turn of the weather. Whatever the reason, the sea began to slowly consume the island and, after a year, the whole land mass was under water. All had been evacuated from Erawit and the former citizens settled onto the mainland. However, they missed their home. Instead, most moved specifically to the tip of the peninsula, creating what they hoped would be a temporary town.
By 1000, the water had begun to recede and the top of the island became visible again. Some of the descendants wanted to move back, others declined and remained in their new town. Those that returned, found the island had changed dramatically. All remnants of their town were gone and above water coral had begun growing. These new land masses were far larger than what could be seen under water and became a new destination for tourism on the island.
