Avel Shiroko
Husband of Zora and son of Galyna Shiroko by her first husband (died soon after Avel was born). He assists his wife in running the Department of the Treasury. While he is not as good with numbers, he understands how to be diplomatic with other departments and work with them in the complex web. His personality is very mild and he is the go between with Zora Shiroko and Taras Shiroko . Despite growing up at the same time as his younger cousin, he barely knew him as a child (due to Andriy isolating Taras) and really only knows him now as the Shiroko who broke tradition and an increasingly hedonistic sadist. The attacks on the family have made him extremely scared of his nephew/cousin. He is open to forgiving him just so the violence will stop. To him, Erasure is much easier to talk to and he is open to getting along with him.
