Basic Information
Anatomy
Rocs are birds of prey of colossal size with a wingspan of 80 feet and are said to be strong enough to carry off horses as if they were mice to a normal eagle.
Genetics and Reproduction
A mated pair of Rocs tend to lay 2-3 eggs at a time, at around a decade between nesting cycles.
Growth Rate & Stages
Roc Chicks are expected to stay within/around their nests for about two years until they learn to fend for themselves. A female Roc starts laying its own eggs as early as 50 years old.
Ecology and Habitats
Rocs prefer large mountainside cliffs for their nests with a large range of land for them to claim as its territory to hunt in.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Rocs tend to prefer to hunt larger prey due to the efficiency of the meal. It's standard tactic is to swoop in to grab its meal, drop it from a tall height and then return for its feast.
