Rising Koi Saga: Chapter 23 Report

General Summary

When Sadao found the clue of where their friend, Arata, had last been seen; it appeared he accidentally walked himself into an ambush that lay in wait, which forced the Rising Koi to act in a haste– haste that left their healer, Xiyan behind. Accompanied by some thugs, Three of the Brides of Akkoro attempted to slay the party: The Beauty, The Bruiser, and The Acrobat.
But it appeared that the thugs were expecting far less armed prey, as the party was able to turn the tides when Apollo snuck onto the roof and was able to wound “The Beauty” from her song– before bluffing that he had gotten the killing blow before she vanished using some blessing from her god. Taking advantage of this, Daiono was able to strike a great blow against the muscular-bound woman who was focused on the Silverguard recruit. When her sisters and her backup scattered to the winds, The Acrobat took her leave as she stated her prayer they did not meet again– as she didn’t seem interested in killing the Akamori cousins.
As the adventurers considered what sampling of power they had witnessed, it seemed that Sadao had proven himself useful by capturing one of the men who attempted to flee with the others. After some intimidation, he told them what little he knew– pointing the party towards the Countryside as where they had taken ‘their new prospective recruit’....
