Rising Koi Saga: Chapter 22 Report

General Summary

After reporting to Captain Katsuro on the findings of their last mission and a night’s rest, The Rising Koi have turned their attention to their search for their missing friend and ally, Arata. The first location on their list was the Silverguard Barracks to attempt to find the location of his last patrol. Sadao, a recruit into the Silverguard who looks up to their friend as a respected mentor offered to help them… but had other news to deliver to them before he joined them so he could point out the location of the last reported sighting of Arata by a fellow Silverguard who broke off from his partner on his last patrol.
First was a letter from their Patron, Lieutenant Seiji, who updated them on both the status of their captured member of The Brides of Akkoro and the reports from the remaining Guardian Priests’ investigation. He then invited them to return to see what they could learn about either while their prisoner continued her stay in Solitary.
Sadao also informed them that they had been able to compile the reports from the Silverguard into profiles for the remaining Brides of Akkoro: The Beauty, The Bruiser, The Acrobat, The Outlaw (Which they may have a lead on her identity), The Witch, The Priestess, and The Savage. Each had a small description listed… but not much else.
And with that, they began their search in the Neighborhood where Arata was seen peeling into after he excused himself from his last patrol. They split into groups to attempt to comb for any witnesses, with mixed results. First, Apollo and Yengandor questioned a shady meat skewer vendor– he claimed that the meat was chicken, but the prices seemed far too cheap given the current events. Then Apollo, with some encouragement from Bimbledorf, tried to seduce a lustful old lady for information. Yengandor took Xiyan with him and tried to play a newly moved-in couple to the neighborhood but couldn't keep his story straight. Mercifully, the recruit they took with them that Daiono guarded found a blood trail.
As Diaono gathered the rest of the Party to pursue this lead, a familiar tune rang through the alleyways as they found themselves surrounded by more Kuromizu Clan Thugs accompanied by two women that matched the descriptions given of the Brides known as The Bruiser and The Acrobat…
