Goblin

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goblins are short, thin creatures that grow in the 3 ft range with almost child-like bodily proportions. Their skin tones are generally in some shade of green, though other colors have been rumored to exist.   A Goblin’s head features adaptations to give them heightened senses such as large pointed ears, longer noses, and exaggerated eyes for their size that can pick up lower levels of light than a human. Eye colors vary from black, browns, and yellows. They also possess a wide mouth lined with teeth of varying shapes and sizes to increase the range of food they may consume.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is said that Goblins breed like rabbits, and while this seems to be an exaggeration-- it doesn't seem that far a stretch. A single mother is said to be capable of a reproduction rate of 4-12 children a year, allowing a Goblin Horde to generate and overtake an area quickly if one is not careful.

Growth Rate & Stages

Goblins appear to sexually mature alarmingly fast, it is said this takes place somewhere in between the 5-10 year range.

Ecology and Habitats

Goblins appear to do better in temperate climates, but also seem adaptable to other climates-- if there is enough food to support them, a Goblin colony can appear almost anywhere.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

As mentioned before, the Goblin possesses heightened senses due to their adaptations-- allowing them to prowl under the cover of a moonless night or underground far more effectively than a human.

Civilization and Culture

Average Technological Level

Though not unintelligent, Goblin tribes tend to steal or salvage-- including abandoned structures-- rather than create themselves. Commonly accepted belief as to why this is the case is due to their short lives and even shorter attention spans to learn crafting arts themselves.
