Nataria
Nataria is the home planet of the Viridùm. It is the third of six planets in this solar system where a green star softly indulges its planets in cool and at the same time warm light like a queen with her subjects around her. Nataria is a planet that offers many different biomes; enormous, hot sand deserts and friezing, cold ice deserts; dense, mazelike jungles, wide steppes, savannahs and tundra and last but not least tropical islands. It is believed that the green light from the sun somehow influences the ecosystems to grow wilder, more beautiful and rich in life.
Geography
A primaeval forest takes up a lot of space on the landmasses ranging a wide variety of different forest types and trees. Near the equator, you will find dense rainforest that brim with a large diversity of wildlife and natural harmony. Farther to the north and south you will encounter more and more deciduous forests and mixed coniferous forests. Even closer to the poles, you will see the coniferous forest. The poles of Nataria are covered in ice crusts that are about 10 kilometres thick. Even there lots of different life forms have adapted to their surroundings. Where the water is deep underground near the equator great deserts have formed and give space to life forms that are nowhere else found on the planet. In the northern and southern regions, some high mountain ranges have risen from the earth towering high above the sea of trees below and the two great oceans that divide the continents.
Fauna & Flora
There are so many breathtaking plants, fungi, bacteria and animals that listing them would take to long, but the most exciting life forms are the superflora and -fauna. Trees so tall that someone might think they touch the sky, giant apes and other mammals, insects, fish, birds and reptiles populate Nataria. But also the “normal” flora and fauna is quite a sight to behold and mostly how they manage to survive in this world where wonder is everywhere you look; from giant waterfalls to tiny dewdrops in the morning sun; from vast ice deserts to the scorching seas of sand; from the deep ocean floors to the highest of mountain peaks.
Natural Resources
Most products manufactured in this world are synthesised from the plants growing on this planet, through genetic engineering and very efficient production management the Viridùm manage to sustain the wildlife of the planet without endangering animals or ecosystems. The level of understanding towards nature the Viridùm posses is amazing to each and everyone who visits Nataria or trades with the Viridùm.
