Palace of Menen

About

The Palace of Menen is a large walled, marble hotel-like building near the very centre of Torkos. It holds everything a person could want for short-term residence. It can be easily recognized by the winged lion statue of Menen standing between the front enterance doorways.
Every unlisted newcomer stays at the Palace of Menen, where they wait out the bureaucracy to run its course in creating their personage (ID). During this time, the resident cannot leave, but they are provided for, including education in Torkos' etiquette. If a staying person wishes to meet with any state official, he is enabled to do so within the building.
Laws of Torkos mark the walls of every floor, except the basement.

For those that know where to look, one can find a secret tunnel behind the statue of Sen'Tree the Teacher.

Ground Floor

Large doorway that stands open during the day, but heavily guarded, and closed (but not locked) during the night and also heavily guarded.

Lounging lobby with reception (always staffed) and bookcases filled with facts about Torkos.

Dining hall.

Kitchens (staffed 24/7): Food is served at dawn, noon, and dusk, but leftovers can be provided at any time.

A large courtyard surrounded on all sides with a fountain and a grass patch in the middle.

Stables behind the house. It has a small barred door set in the walls that leads to the outside (staff door).

First and Second Floor

Rooms of many types and sizes.

Leasure rooms for meetings.

Living space with games, books, noticeboard, and the casting gem (for sounding news).

Third Floor

Spa and healing rooms.
