Hyper-Vortex

This is a separate dimension which exists near regular reality. Using the Vortex Drive a starship can enter this higher dimension while the drive is active.

The Hyper-Vortex is the only known way to travel safely at faster than light speeds. There is not much known about this dimension other than how to access it and use it. Some consider the Hyper-Vortex to be the Realm of Elan Vitale, although there is not much if any evidence for this being the case.

The Hyper Vortex appears as a turbulent flow of red energy, lightning strikes, and random flashes of red light.
