Sun Orc

Sun Orcs are large muscular creatures with a simpler intelligence. Known for their blunt straightforwardness are often barbaric ways, orcs command a threatening presence when in hostile locations.
These creatures are pleasure seekers and compulsive thinkers. Native to the deserts, orcs can be seen anywhere there are carnal pleasures to be had. From killing a man to sharing a drink, orcs have been taught to do what they enjoy in life and nothing less of that.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Sun Orcs are born with light green hide. They have a naturally top-heavy build with strong calves to compensate for the weight. Their head slouches a bit lower than their shoulders. Orcs have 3 large fingers on each of their hands.

Biological Traits

As a sun orc grows older and is exposed to the sun more, their hide-like skin darkens from its birth color of light green to a leathery brown. Some orcs even carry a gene where their hide darkens to a muted gold.

Genetics and Reproduction

Orc gestation and only lasts 3 months. It is quick as it is unceremonious.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Sun Orcs have strong, wide faces. Wide chin and jaws that narrows towards the dome of the head. They have hair of brown, red, brown/red, green, green/brown, or steel blue. Eyes are often resting upon an angry demeanor with a coloration of brown, green, red, or gold.

Average Intelligence

Orcs are perhaps the weakest intellectually. While they grow into adulthood fast, their mental maturity and intelligence stay close to the intelligence of other races when they are of that age. A grown adult orc of 6 years old has about the intelligence of a seven-year-old homunculus or o'doule.
With this in mind, the oldest orcs are the most mindful and intelligent of their species, though orcs surviving to that age are rare considering their violent war-hungry culture.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Sun Orc names should often be said as a grunt. Not much thought is put into orc names as not much thought was put into their conception. Last names are clan names. They change based on what clan the orc is from. Orcs that are prideful of a place they guard or organization, they will claim that as their clan. Those who have no clan have no last name.
First names: Mog, Grog, Jogun, Grook, Vogi, Morg, Brool, Zuul
Clan names: Oxripper, Rhinomount, Facepuncher, Sharpaxe, Orangecloak (organization), Helldiver (Organization), Sausordad (Town Guard), of chruch Oxgolak (organization)

Relationship Ideals

Relationships do happen in sun orc culture, though relationships tend to be more oriented towards carnal temporary highs.
Once an orc is born it is handed off to elders to raise. Orc society cares not for spending its time raising the young. Leaving those too weak to fight to raise future generations. Because of this apathy on birth, most orcs never know their parents.

Common Dress Code

Orc clothing is very diverse. It all depends on your character. A Sun orc is perfectly capable of dressing up in ornate armor they have never used after fighting on a battlefield perfectly naked. The expectation however is that it will be an enjoyable experience and there is something to gain.
Sun Orc clothing is often crude in nature. their bodies and fingers are too large to hold a needle property so they rely on half-orc and slave labor to create anything of better quality than hides and leather.
With most orcs being from the deserts of Sausordad, one can expect an orc to wear breathable clothing if not only a sarong. When in an urban area, orcs lean more towards armor, tunics, robes, or kaftan.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Orcs are set up in tribes or gangs based on the region they reside in. Tribes form and separate based on victory and defeat in battle. An orc's last name is always that of their tribe or something akin to a tribe or organization. Those without a tribe or similar have no last name.
The family unit is known as the “Kog”. To be one's Kog is to be their blood brother. Kog’s lives are linked to each other with their last act upon the others death is vengeance followed by suicide.

History

The history of sun orcs is a history of war. Sun Orcs find their way into nearly every war and confrontation since the beginning of the second age. Most sun orc lore is not written by the sun orcs but by other races, though with history being often written by the victors, the sun orcs have generally been seen in a positive, yet warry light.
As such, Sausordad, The Arid King has utilized their strength, numbers, and lesser intelligence to fortify his empire and secure a hold on his domain.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Orcs take most races at face value. Generalizations of each race are as follows:
Fae are too complicated. There are too many types with too many rules and rituals. Avoid if possible.
Homunculi can be alright. Weak but they look like orcs sometimes.
Dwarves make good weapons. They make good drinks. They are good people.
Totookichtin are scary for their size. Do not mess with.
O'Doule are weird and are up to something. Easily squishable though so that's comforting.
Mechans are weird and hard to understand. They sell good stuff though and the way they act is funny sometimes.
Grey Orcs suck. They are orc but almost only in name. Weak but makeup through bad voodoo magic.
