Dorinsaxe - Title

Those who hold the title of Dorinsaxe are never born of the name but are bestowed the title by the clan leader, the crowned king/queen of the nation of Fordgiar.
The title is often used to bestow honorifics for service to the crown but may also be used to anoint others into the service of the king/queen. Any high member of the government, military general, or esteemed judge is bound to hold the title. This gives those individuals with divine rights and access to freely enter the royal fortress.

Appointment

To be appointed with the title of Clan Durinsaxe, one must gain the eye of and be honored by King/Queen Dorinsaxe.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The traditional adornment of those who achieve the title of Dorinsaxe is to wear armor made of Dorinsroc, the hardest substance known to the material plane.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Children born from a Dorinsaxe are not born into the title, but given the clan name from which they were originally born.
Those who break their oath are branded with the title "Brokenaxe" and are cast out into exile from the kingdom. This banishment will require shaving one's beard and being branded as exiled on the back of their hand. 
Those who marry into Clan Dorinsaxe are not given the title of Dorinsaxe, except for the crowned king/queen who is given the unique title of Dorinskin.

History

During the Age of Creation, it is said that the god Fordgiar used the fires of Dorin Mountains as his personal forge. Before he left to forge the rest of the world, he created the dwarves to keep the fires of his forge from going out. Fordgiar gifted the first dwarf, Dorin, with a tool to lead his people in his stead. This was to become known as Dorinsaxe after its first wielder. With the divine will of their god, paired with the virtues of the first dwarf, the people of the kingdom of Fordgiar, for which they named after their god, thrived for centuries.

Cultural Significance

To become of Clan Dorinsaxe, one must be bestowed the title by the king of the same title. This title is indiscriminate of race, region, or nobility. The primarily held be Dwarves in the local area as that is what the primary population of Dorin is. Culturally, this signifies that you are in direct service of the king and the actions were taken are directly related to one's position.
