Brothers Brill
The Brothers Brill are an elite independent military whose purpose is to:
- Scout locations for information about the possible location of the Nidhogg
- Aid areas in need of help with extraplanar affairs
- Provide an elite force in battles that threaten Scandigliare that are not politically influenced
Composition
Manpower
While the number of members increases and decreases every day, internationally, there are about 9000 members of this militia. This makes it the largest independent military force in the world.
Structure
Emphasis is based on specializations within the ranks apposed to a specific hierarchy. Every group, if a group is assigned is given a militia captain who is able to break ties, enlist recruits, and makes regular contact with HQ

Recruitment
For one to gain their orange cloak, one is assigned an initiation task. These are incredibly difficult and vague tasks meant to apply the skills needed to hunt and slay the Nidhogg. This can be a dubious task such as carrying a bucket of lava from Steel Point to Valla and making sure it does not cool. This can also be a helpful task such as slaying a powerful monster or even taking care of a dragon brood.
Before given a task, one must successfully identify a militia captain who is capable of enlisting new recruits. This can be easier said than done as tasks and duties are split amongst specializations and one giving orders may not always be the captain.

History
The Brothers Brill were not truly brothers in a family sense but brothers-in-arms. An alliance of misfits from the Tundra north of South Knopia. During the Fall of the Saurian Empire, The Brothers Brill were quintessential in the alliances' campaigns. They held off droves of reptilians from key locations and performed scouting missions deep into enemy territory.
In winter of 1700 SA, felt the tremors of an earthquake thousands of miles away from any fault line. It was this quake that signaled the birth of the Nidhogg, a serpentine dragon larger than any creature or beast the world had seen until that point.
The war changed as of that day as a quest for victory became a struggle for survival for every nation. The desecration of the Nidhogg started with the saurians. Leveling buildings and whipping the race to extinction.
The Saurian Empire was no more and the Nidhogg turned to other areas. It sundered the Knopian Divide and began to ravage the forests and mountains of North Knopia.
The Brothers were one of the few forces who fought instead of fled. Rallying the armies of Dwarves and Elves, they made a stand in the plains near the Aphyon Canyon. The battle alone lasted a consecutive month with many casualties before the beast was considered slain. The land the creature fell turned the grain red and became known as the Crimson Fields. The Brothers, who had taken heavy casualty vowed to protect the land against threats the magnitude of the Nidhogg.
Since then, the ice sheet that the brothers came from were named in their honor and service. A headquarters has been built in the largest city in the nation. Recruits are sent on scouting missions and assignments to handle ordeals or extraplanar natures and to attack known locations of the Cult of Zouq, who was known for creating the Nidhogg. It is believed that the Nidhogg will return if not already sleeping somewhere on Scandagliare by those of the brotherhood.
