These fragments are available to view in the Derhin Library, and most residents of the region avoid the Shifting Dunes due to the warnings found in them. Although it is likely that the fragments are from many different missives, as each is written in a different handwriting style, they are collectively known as the Letter of the Lost, as most bear a similar message and warn of an unseen danger that keeps the writers trapped.
