Dolaris Destroyed

The adventurers have located the Tome of Ages, but a man in a green tunic got to it first, leaping out of a window and vanishing.  Now the adventurers need to track down the man in order to get the Tome back, but a larger threat lingers on the horizon.

Plot points/Scenes

  • Day turns to night as legion arrives, parachuting off the back of dragons
  • The old tunnel - sneak villagers into the temple, a central location where they can be protected. Gate to the tunnel is locked.  Tunnel runs to each grouping of houses, but must make 1d6 check each time they exit tunnel not to be spotted by legionnaires (1 = attacked, 2 = ambush)
  • Defending the Temple - the temple is the best place to gather the villagers, but it will need to be secured.  Gather wood and stone to block the open entrances to the temple, avoiding legionnaires as you go
  • Save the fleet - from the temple, one of the rescued villagers spots a group of legionnaires attempting to set fire to the fishing fleet at the docks.  This is a ruse, and the legionnaires are attempting to lure the adventurers into an ambush; they rise up from the water and outnumber the players 2-1
  • Village Defenses - once all the villagers are safe in the temple, one will mention ancient magical defenses that might help them turn the tide of battle.  Adventurers will need to return to the city hall without being spotted (or fight legionnaires if spotted), and then activate the defenses with a special key held by the sage
  • Rogue’s Battle - the green tuniced man is clearly directing the raid from an area in the center of the village.  It’s possible he still has the Tome of Ages
