S32. Preparing for the Peak Report
General Summary
Traveling back to Phandalin, the party happened upon a flaming wreckage of a wagon or two with two dead bodies burning within. A human and a dwarf. The found that maybe goblinoids were responsible, but it was hard to tell how accurate that was.
In town they found a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker had arrived while they were gone, claiming to have rights to the land that includes Phandalin and the Manor, under something called the Phandelver Pact.
The adventurers sold their gold bell for 2500 gp and divided it up.
They also bought some magic items. and had their mystery key identified. It is a Mystery Key.
They talked to some folks, and then left town to scout out Icespire Hold. It's about 3 days travel to the near-top of the mountains. The first night was calm. But the second, a crazy-looking creature, one that seems to emit such cold around it that is snuffs out fires, approaches the camp looking ready for a late night snack!
