S22. Moesko, Storm Lord Report
General Summary
Moesko launched lightning bolts at the adventurers touting the power of Talos.
Kanenas entered the fray yelling the superiority of his god while using the boon of Talos to blast Moesko with lightning as well. He could hear Talos chuckling in his head still offering the RuneKnight a place within the evil god's hierarchy and power. The adventueres converged on the octopus-armor-wearing villain and defeated him, but the armor leaped from the literally heartless bad guy and mounted itself on top of Kanenas, granting him the armor's ability, but also initiating a battle of wills. The octopus armor set upon wreaking havoc with Kanenas' spellcasting ability and attacks, dropping Torgan in the process.
Eventually, the team defeated the new bad guy and killed the cursed armor...almost killing Kanenas at the same time.
High above, Kally and Ozus struggled against the power of the heart that was calling out to sea...but also calling to them to come closer. It blinded both of them and Ozus even began undressing to ensure nothing came between his heart and the heart that beat with unholy light before him. They both managed to come to their senses long enough to cover the heart to block its light and damage it until it stopped beating.
The adventurers then explored the rest of the lighthouse and confirmed the harpies had flown the coop. They found a couple of potions in their nest. They spend a long rest regaining their strength and to wait out the rest of the dying storm.
The room where Moesko was defeated also contained the opalescent conch shell. They returned it to the banshee, Myraal, and she was released from her misery and returned to the sea. They also spoke again with the talking crab, Shelldon, and he retrieved a magical bow from one of the wrecks as promised. His gratitude was obvious, and he also returned to the sea to check on his lady.
The next day they spent much of their time exploring the wrecked ships to find any treasure that was still within their sunken hulls.
Once they gathered all the treasure they could find, the packed up and headed back east, leaving behind, the now empty Tower of Storms.
Rewards Granted
From the Star-Crossed Lover, Sheldon retrieved a +1 bow, found in the grip of a skeleton that used to be the ship’s captain.
From the Sea Urchin, starfish were clinging to a locked chest filled with straw, within which is packed a delicate, 9-inch-tall, blue quartz statuette of a mermaid.
Within the Vainglory, a cloak untouched by the ravages of the sea, worn by the skeleton of the ship’s captain
The Golden Gull held within its ruins a locked chest containing 120 ep and six pearls in a black silk pouch
They found within the Orca another locked chest that holds a magical wand and a leather-bound book that seems to contain wizard spells.
