S19. Dragonfall Report

General Summary

Concerned more with more adjacent threats than the dragon, Torgan and the others converge on Reidoth and takes him down quickly. This surprises all of them as being far too easy. But they are soon reminded a green dragon is present, as it swoops down to attack.
Ulana  bolts away from the group to revert to her true form. Kanenas and Sir Nesbit form a front, and Jareth Anshar tries to step away to the side, but the dragon swoops down and sets a poinson cloud up on the three, dropping the paladin and rune knight, and savagely poisoning the monk in a single exhalation. Venomfang then start a hard bank to the right to likely come around again.
Jareth jogs around the corner into the spider's webs virtually unhindered in the difficult terrain after becoming his beastly self. He lobs a bead from his necklace as he does so, scorching the dragon as Kally charged into melee with it bearing the dragonslayer out for a field test. They both burn and cut into it while Torgan Wyrmsfoot continues to prick it time and again with arrows from a much safer distance.
The dragon pounces through the air at Kally/Ulana and seizes her in one of his claws, then beats hard for altitude as the two exchange threats, insults, and recipes for success and failure. At 40' up, Kally struggles to move, but hold her action as she forms a plan. The others take more shots at it, and yet another bead from Jareth Anshar necklace comes off and it batted into the air above the dragon. It explodes with Venomfang unable to dodge out of the way. 
He climbs into the sky further, still bantering with the firbolg while others continue to try to hit it from the ground. Sir Nesbit has a cleric cast a spell to stop him from dying, and Kanenas is healed and quickly downs his healing potion.
In the sky, Kally rages and tries to reverse the grapple, and does so, managing to grab one of Venomfang's wings, and they both begin to plummet. The dragon tries to break free, but they both fall and hit the ground hard, the dragon on top of Kally nearly killing her outright. She begins to slip away from life.
A giant Kanenas makes a giant attack on the dragon struggling to get to its feet again right after Togan and the drake each take a wounding attack at it. His blades strike true and the dragon is felled. Kanenas deadlifts the dragon from off of Kally, and sets to work reviving the dying before they pass on.
The adventurers sack the druid's shack and find no valuable clues to what he was up there, and then explore the wizard's tower to win the dragon's loot.
A well deserved victory after a harrowing fight with the toughest monsters they have encountered so far!

From a shriveled spider dinner of a male elf: a shortsword in its scabbard. a potion of healing. 23 gp and 35 sp.
From the dragon's/wizard's tower: 800 sp, 150 gp four silver goblets set with moostones 2 scrolls a magic dwarven battleaxe named Hew
All 3rd Level advance to 4th. All 4th Level advance to 5th.
