S03E17: Reunited Report

General Summary

The Stormbreakers meet back up again, and this time head to the Bronze Dragon Shrine to Bahamut.

Somewhere on the Sword Coast Between Neverwinter and Leilon Lies the magnificent shrine to Bahamut The sea splashes on the bottom of a rocky cliff carved to look like a 60-foot-tall dragon with a ribbed and fluted crest around its head. The dragon’s mouth is open in a triumphant roar, facing the ocean and standing on its hind legs.

 
This bronze dragon, Lhammaruntosz has tasked loyal swashbucklers, members of the Scaly Eye, with helping protect her and the shrine. They have remained for decades to fulfil their obligation to her. But something is very wrong. Our band of heroes, the Stormbreakers, arrive, tasked with praying at the shrine to receive the blessing of Bahamut and a vision of the fate of Leilon.
But the Scaly Eye seem quite worried for her and suspicious of our heroes. Their Mother Wyrm has been acting odd for some time now and they don't knows why. Ezra begins to climb the stairs to investigate the area above, but checnges his mind and decides to drowsn himself instead. His companions narrowly save him from certain death and then Kanenas decides to take the stairs next. He feels the influence of magic, but is otherwise unaffected. However at the top of the stairs he finds a large room. Two great circular windows in this chamber look out on the ocean, the sea air causing a crust of green barnacles to grow around the glass of the southernmost pane. Before that window sits a great dragon, her scales a deep bronze. Her eyes are wide and wild as she stares at the ocean.
She notices the intruder and under her breath begins to mutter if this unfamiliar one is friend or foe. Has he come to kill her and her beloved crewmates? She attacks.

• Kanenas bought a blade from the magic store that then had a blessing from his Patron to grant it more magic.
• Ozus picked up the Mastiff he bought from Neverwinter breeders.
• Zith found a bow-staff that r4esembled a Staff of Power.
