8th of Nightal 1492 DR
Sitting around the fire with the Crux brothers left me with a strange feeling. I've never really had friends before. Of course there were others at the Monastery growing up, but I was always more of a loner staying off in the forest most of my free time. I find myself feeling happy to have companions, even if our travels together are difficult. I don't know if I could have made it this far alone, and with the strength of the cults of Talos and Myrkul growing stronger I am glad to be with these guys. Thinking about that does make me feel even more confused about Fin revealing the story of my parents to me. I just don't understand why he waited so long to tell me. I trusted him, looked to him like a Father. Perhaps this is all a test, I need to try to stay open and trust my companions more, and I will hopefully grow from it.
Cult of Secrets

Hawthorne and I defeated Zalryr, but what we witnessed, experienced, I don’t know how to comprehend. Back when Cassius, Tobin and Solomon were with us, fighting the Myrkul necromancers and the Wrath of Talos, I thought those cults were bad. This consuming of secrets, people turning into shadows, I saw these things and I have trouble believing. I’m going to have nightmares about a glowing green eye in the torn socket of what’s left of a skull searching for me. I need some nice meditation, on a soft bed of grass, by a bubbling brook to reset myself. We found Tobin and Solomon farther west near the High Road. Hawthorne is going to stay with them in Leilon while I try to track down Cassius and tell him about this new cult of secrets.
