With treaty signed, the Second Jeriec Empire and Meneval of the Isles of Erinion attack Golryon on two fronts.

With Golryon's monopoly on magic, the Menevali Invoker, and the new exception in Jeria's law allowing the Mystic tradition, this war takes on a magical aspect not seen before in this age of the world.   It is the first of such kind since the War between Erinion and Caesia Thiir, and even that was through proxies.   The Runic Houses refuse to support either side except where compelled to. They do not, however, shy away from war-profiteering.   The early war finds a stalemate as Witchknife infiltrators release designs of the Architects of Nox in the Empire to Golryon, and preparations are made. However, the sheer overpowering force and tactical skill of the Legion of the Red Sun and its anxillary divisions cause the war to slowly creep towards Golryon itself. Each fortress falls, yet citadels in the Eastern Wall take many years to fall.
