Hobgoblins

The truth of it is that they are a people that know how to take advantage of their own savagery, and tame it. They have oral tradition of before the Story began, but it is impossible to verify anything of that sort. Their old First Jeriec Empire stretched across Evandyr, and they currently worship religion like Amandrella mixed with Yel-Tor and Valefor, known as The Pillars in the Sky, which helps them master the strength within and turn their might to bettering oneself (which led them from barbarism to imperialism) as well as intelligent design.
They ascribe it to the Sun, and see the day as the time of the Man, and the night as the time of the Beast. The Light is Simon coming to shine down on them the ability to improve and become better. The Moon always existed, they say, but it was dark back then. Most Hobs speak of the time before their lives as if they all lived it, just as a quirk.
