Emperor Rado'shyr

Emperor Rado'shyr of the Second Jeriec Empire. Lord Commander of the Legion of the Red Sun, and the leader of the largest nation in the world.   The Empire is a land of heroic deeds, conquests, and triumphs... but it is also one more feral than any. To prove oneself in the land of Jeria and thereby gain station in prestigious meritocratic clans, higher stipends of silver, or simply respect, is the endless pursuit of the majority of Jerians. Personal details of great leaders such as Rado'shyr are not the subject of discussion, rather, what they did to achieve their rank, and how they lead their people is.   Rado'shyr's origin lies in Viro's Gorge, a metropolitan mountain valley of Talon known for its dense buildings and overflowing population. He was not born to a great clan, known only as Rado'n, but quickly became a local legend. Rado'n, it is said, had a peace of mind unlike others. This wisdom, rivaling the monks of the Pillared Priory, led the young hobgoblin to threats before they arose. Fighting ghosts blindly as if he could see, waiting for cutpurses in alleys before a crime has been committed, and even once waiting in an Avernal blood-tunnel until Tzek-roth the Hungry arose from the deep... without warning or prior message.   Rado'za, as he was known in the clan of 'za, said that it was not prescience or great blessing from the The Pillars in the Sky that led him to forsee these battles, to prepare for every eventuality, but rather, a keen eye and a mind for logistics. Ephemera fog to track ghosts' hunger in the air. Maps of criminal frequency. Analysis of demon attacks over centuries and what minor signs might forewarn their coming.   Rado'shyr, as he was known in the clan of 'shyr, after his triumph over Tzek-roth the second and final time, rose slowly through the ranks of this great clan of generals and heroes. Instead of trying to vye for Lordship or Directorship himself, he cultivated a near perfect record of millitary victories, and commanded the Legion of the Red Sun through a strenuous cold war between Golryon and the Empire.   Fojiri'shyr, the former Emperor of Jeria, led a hunt in 873 AB to kill Syyr'muth'zeht, the Rimelord of the Bay, an ancient dragon of at least two thousand years. He made several tactical failures in the hunt, and Rado'shyr instead took charge, driving the great Rimelord out of the Bay forever, and from then on wore it's child's skull as a helmet, and used it's blood as a new mithril sword. Fojiri'shyr abdicates the throne after this hunt to Rado'shyr, and a new Emperor begins their rule.
