Dynasty of the Hikarima 光

The Dynasty is, from the outside, a hereditary-inherited throne with individual kingdoms ruled by Daimyo throughout, however, several intricacies create a rulership much more benevolent than many an ailing democracy. For example, just as in Old Elysia 古 恵 幸, the Daimyo exists to serve the people and is honor-bound to act in their best interests. In war, this means that battles are fought in every case outside of cities, and cities are surrendered outside of the damaging nature of war, while citizens and merchant classes may only observe the fighting, and are not only out of the target of the warriors, but these classes are forbidden from fighting. The battles happen at the castles, or in the fields, so as to minimize casualties and so that the victor will inherit a unified peoples and be more able to stand against mortalkind's true enemy, the demonic underworld.
The Dynasty, however, utilizes the Immortal Blades to ensure no wisdom is lost in such disagreements. In the Time of the City God's Wars, where the Emperor of the Hikarima ruled over the Dynasty while individual prefectures were allowed to war and spar without limit, this was a crucial element that allowed the Dynasty to not doom itself through the self-imperialism of individual Daimyo.

Administration

In 906 AB, the Dynasty claimed jurisdiction over Ryokado (光の稜), Onaka (翁長), Eritsu (領に稜), Eida'ri (営団領), and Esoe (安平治). This was not the least of its dominions in history, but it was second so. This, of course, was no accident, as the Dynasty had frequently chosen willful peace over imperialism, and only expanded their borders through confederation, alliance, or when outright attacked. Such does not clean their slate, however, as it is widely known that the Interior Ministry, a.k.a. the Ministry of Black Magic or the Ministry of Mysteries, infiltrates and manipulates all societies in and out of the Dynasty to such a degree as to ensure the national interests of the Prismatic Throne.

Technology

The Dynasty is home to prestigious in the realms of elemental matricies and celestial batteries, allowing the containment of entities from the stars and those of the primordial energies alike into machines that can act as locomotion or other simple machines. For example, elemental locomotives are used in place of simple carts, creating a fire elemental powered engine that roams the countryside, or an automatic sailing machine to ride the Kaseniro Waterways, or an extra-dimensional and earth elemental powered levy that raises a 200-ft space of the Kasenrio Cove hundreds of feet into the air to create a maritime elevator used for trade.
Construction, transportation, communication, entertainment, all facets of Dynasty life are touched by their mastery over the occult and the divine and its uses for everyday life.
