New Hobbiton was founded in 493, after the first Hobbit immigration. the was another influx in population in 478, when the great hobbit plague destroyed a third of Hobbiton's population, and almost tripled New Hobbiton's. the most recent influx of population was in 613, where the city again doubled in size.
