Born in 1327 his mother died in 1329. Leaving his father to raise him.
His father took him away from Elfish settlements and raised him alone under the leaves of the forests.
Tragedy struck again in 1372 when an orc war-band stumbled opp on the there camp. Rilitar fought a desperate struggle to defend his son but although he took five of there number with him the orcs managed to take his head. The joy of killing an elf and capturing a elfin prepubescent child mean in the eyes of the Orcs that one of there number would be granted the favor of there god.
As the strongest orc made ready to sacrifice Shaundyl half a dozen arrows struck him in the chest as a group of armed wood elfs attacked the Orcs. making short work of the reaming war-band.

His father learned him to survive in on what the woods provided.
the dark arrows took the young elf under there wing and although serving as little more than a mascot during the half century he spent with them. They gave training in the ways of battle and learned him the languages of there enemy and there ally's. They told him that it is more inportant for him to learn Cyrami that Tarshnaga as all of the tarksnaga knew the language of the orcs but that the common soldier in the Cyrami forces did not know the noble language of the elfs
