Farlithism

Each river, each puddle, each tear holds a part of us. Water is how we began, and water is how we will end.
Farlithism, or the Faith of the Drowned, is the backbone on which the original kingdom of Haversham was built. Though it began with a king as any good kingdom should, the church soon took over, and Haversham has been a theocracy ever since.   Farlithism is not incredibly far-removed from the Faith of the One, a religion designed around Ithrha, as both religions only praise a single god. Many falsely assume that the god of Farlithism's name is 'Farlith' - a mistake made due to the number of religious references which refer to the father of the church, Castell Farlith.   The god which the Church of Farlith represents has no true name, but many equate his origins with stories of the Lord Gildenhelm of the first age, whose great palace sank beneath the waves long ago. Farlites believes that their nameless god represents himself in all forms of water, from the rain to the oceans, and that the end of the world will one day come with an unending rain, causing the rivers to overflow and the oceans to rise until every living thing is buried beneath the waves.
