The Rullara

The Rullara are reindeer herders who live far north beyond the arctic circle. They are a nomadic people who follow the movement of the great reindeer herds on the tundra beyond the Javaris Mountains. They are governed by the edicts of a council of shaman called the Snow Council who can beat the Drums and call forth Power. The first Consang adventurer who travelled north to meet these strange people was named Rochiman. Rochiman became one of the Rullara and he invited some of his family to join him in the far north where they built a fortress that is called Rocaille. Those who followed Rochiman and the Rullara became one nation, the nation of Blanuit and their reach extended down from the Jaravis mountains to the town of Talvis that they used as a trading post to sell their goods, including the gold mined in the Jaravis mountains, to the rest of the Kingdoms. During the Freedom Wars, Blanuit stayed largely out of the fray and the armies led by Emperor Claudine were unsuccessful in trying to break through the passes to take Blanuit by force. Eventually the King of Blanuit and the Snow Council of the Rullara took council together and they made an offer of peace to the Emperor. The King's daughter and heir would marry one of the Emperor's son and Blanuit would join the Empire of Lumiaron as the Duchy of Laroche.
