Dusang

An ability inherited in certain bloodlines which allows practitioners to do amazing things, like block every incoming sword blow in attack or kill a man with a tiny cut through which all the blood is drawn. For a Child of the Blood to be able to use their dusang abilities, they must undergo the Trails of Dusang, a test unique to each bloodline. If the child survives the Trails, their ability to use their house’s dusang is unlocked. If they fail, they die. The Trail of Dusang is typically undertaken between the ages of ten and fourteen.
