Desolation
Desolation may not always have been the name of this bleak desert. In fact, some say that thousands of years ago, the desert was, in fact, a fertile plain lush with magnificent flora and diverse fauna. Regardless of that truth, Desolation now stands as the largest known desert. Plant and animal life is now very limited to the few things that can survive life in the extreme desert conditions.
Desolation is believed to cover nearly a million square miles and almost never sees darkness due to the paths of the twin suns. Thus, ,temperatures in this region rarely drop below 120 F and often go higher in the warmest months of the year.
