A variety of seaweed that grows only in Blacktide Bay . Secretes a dark black oil when the tide comes in that darkens the water of the bay to a midnight black for a few ours before being broken down by the saltwater. Members of the Trade Guild are establishing an industry where the oil is harvested as a dye, and are researching other possible uses for it.
