Personal history
Born a Vampire noble's bastard daughter, she was abandoned in the streets of Highpond, the City of Water, as an infant, and was rescued by the kind-hearted Dwarf jeweler, Gibbs Gemworth. She was raised together with another adopted child, a kitsune girl named Moon, with whom Siggyn grew very close over the decades. From her new family she learnt to appreciate the finer details of beauty and striving for perfection of the form in every aspect.
In her youth and early adulthood, she learnt the trade from his father, but eventually found herself lacking the natural talent he possesed; she re-focused her mind to other forms of art, taking passing interest in painting, scultping and eventually arriving to the more ephimeral arts of magic and light sculpting. There she discovered her hidden talent for magic, both arcane and divine, and soon after designed a way to weave her father's art with and into magic and vice versa.
Nearly a decade later, by the age of 47, she had achieved a reputable mastery of her new-found technique, and managed to obtain her father's seal of approval as a master jeweler. The piece that earned her this recognition was a statue depicting the climax of a battle between an Ancient Dragon and a Knight Lord, carved from a single piece of pure white quartz. While the craftsmanship itself was of superb quality, it was still beneath the standards for a 'masterpiece' by itself; it was the layers of magic that pushed it to become a truly breathtaking sculpture. The ground beneath the knight warped and steamed, the flames from the dragon slowly shifted as if molded by perpetually molten glass, light emanated from the flames and shimmered through the bodies of both combatants, colluding with the gemstone to portray the essense of metal scales and armor. This was the last piece she carved with true artistic purpose.
Having graduated from jewelcrafting and her father's shadow, she set out on a path of self rediscovery. Together with her foster sister, they worked as bounty hunters for nearly a decade, traveling from town to town helping law enforcement while earning enough for their upkeep and little more. Shortly after visting the Great Coloseum in ... (incomplete)
(old version continued:)It was around the age of 100 when she began working as a Lawyer, as a hobby moreso than anything. It was something she had a knack for, and she loved it. The feeling of power over others, controlling their fates, while blandishing a white and soft smile, her words intoxicating the dumbfounded masses. She was born to be in a place of power, she knew that then.
Owning slaves means nothing to her, there was no challenge, no conflict. But setting them free? Tricking them into working for her? Twisting their minds little by little? It was a comforting pleasure she could come home to. There were only three "pets" (as she took to calling them) she kept:
- Farghast Frostwing, her scribe pseudodragon, whom she always treated as a little brother.
- Emile Fareman her assistant and dear test subject. Someday she hopes they will turn a new leaf and find the pleasure of enjoying oneself as the epitome of perfection.
- Show spoilerRomando her guard-dog bodyguard and stress-relief punching bag. Of course she never struck him without reason, but she found reason in the tiniest of things. He's a very resilient person as it turned out.
