Selemlis

Selemlis is a city on the sub-tropical island of Kadar, off the southern coast of Vanareon.
It is famous for its white sand beach that stretches for miles along the coast, behind which is a long estuarine bay that serves as a sheltered harbour. The city itself stretches along the spit that separates the estuary from the sea. Despite its lack of walls or defences, it has never been sacked or plundered, for the god selemlis guards it. All who try and plunder it are seduced by its beauty and end up in its bazaars or brothels.
It is famous for three things:

• The White Palace - a great palace that sits amongst palm trees above the beach on the seaward side.
• The Great Bazaar - where it is said anything that is sold in all the worlds can be bought if you seek it hard enough.
• The School of Wizardry - which is regarded, along with the Higamenta, as one of the foremost centres of study of wizardry in all the world.
