Lords of Creation
The Lords of Creation are the most primordial of divine beings, that even the giants, dragons and elves respect. Few revere the Lords of Creation though, they just exist. They have no need of worship by mortals, and they pay no heed to mortals either.
The four known Lords of Creation are:
Fate - allegedly the first of the Lords of Creation. It is said that Fate was the first, and knows all of time. He will also be the last of all things. Some call Fate, Time, and others say that Time is a separate Lord of Creation, but most agree that they are one and the same. Fate gives purpose and direction to all existence.
The Maw is said to be the second Lord of Creation, the shadow of Fate and Time. The Maw is destruction, entropy, the total ending of all things, chaos.
Death is said to be the third of the Lords of Creation. Death is the opposite of the Maw - the structured ending and beginning of all things, within the wheel of Fate. Death does not decide when things will start and end - that is written in the books of Fate, but Death acts when commanded to by Fate. Death may be the executioner, but Fate is the judge of all things.
Luck is the last of the Lords of Creation. Luck should not exist, but where Fate and the Maw fight, randomness creeps into the order of the universe, and Luck finds her place there.
