Green Sentinels

The Green Sentinels are the Discipline of the Sentinel Order dedicated to the protection of merchants, trade, and travellers. Its members prioritise fieldcraft and claim that - for the right price - they can get you anywhere on mainland Sammerden (except the Domain of the Empty, naturally).
With the rise of the Red Sentinels, their Green brothers have taken on a similar role in a rural setting. Whereas the Red Sentinels will work with cities, policing and protecting them, the Green Sentinels now offer similar services for villages and the countryside. They will enforce bounties, chase criminals, and clear out dens of thieves wherever farmers and traders need them to. 
Given their nature travelling with all sorts of folk, the Green Sentinels have a reputation as the most down-to-earth of the Disciplines (untrue, the Red Sentinels claim) - but they still have their fair share of knights, and are still more than able to escort the poshest merchant princes, or the lowliest pilgrims.

Structure

As with almost all Sentinel Disciplines, the Green Sentinels are divided into Chapters, commanded by a leading Council and the Knight-Commander of the Green Sentinels.
In contrast to the White and Red Sentinels, their Chapters do not represent single geographic locations - but wide areas of open land and the trade routes which pass between them. They, therefore, function as something of an armoury, resupply depot, and social space for Green Sentinels on the road - with the average Sentinel belonging to only one, but having contacts and friends in three or four.
Just as significant to the Sentinel's life will the Company. Whereas city-based Sentinels will join the Company when on duty, and may switch in and out based on their needs and skills, Green Sentinel companies act as bands traversing the world together. A Company may travel halfway across the world and back again on a single job - passing through a dozen Chapters, but remaining one Company.
