Republic of Oskye

The Republic of Oskye was an island nation in the North Sea that existed between 1166 and 1181. It was created after the Oskyian Rebellion of 1165 and the ousting of the Goldenrod Family, and therefore the Kingdom of Oskye. The native population of the islands had been enslaved under the Goldenrods and retook control of their ancestral territory and created a democratic republican system of government.

The Republic's timeline was primarily split between two major conflicts. Firstly, the aftermath of the complete collapse of the Goldenrod government in 1165 and the following civil disturbances as newly-formerly enslaved native Oskyians wrestled for power with the remaining colonial powers. Soon after peace and a new government was established war broke out between Epron and Gashain and the Republic eventually entered the conflict on the side of Gashain.
After the war, the Republic merged with The Ostines to create The Federated States of the Allied Islands.
