L'qua Tribe

The L'qua Tribe is based in the conifer forests surrounding Hyas Cove. It consists of the families that remained in the first outposts built when Wayakeskwens arrived in Gorllewin Forest. The tribe maintains a central village that shifts location occaisionally, now residing on a forested hill between the Maskwa and Kihew Rivers.
L'qua tribe has minimal agriculture, mostly relying on foraging and hunting in the woods, rivers, and ocean, although they do trade for crops from other tribes. They annually set up camps in places where they can best take advantage of seasonal events, such as salmon runs, and waterfowl migrations. Whales are also hunted, usually one or two a year as they migrate along the coast. People often make new sea canoes from driftwood before whale hunting season, and these, along with other hunting tools, typically include carvings to preserve the story of the animals they had to kill.
