Horse, Jiggle

Overview

Oppulant and succulent, the jiggle horse is a testement to one dwarves peculiour understanding of what makes a "good" horse. These beasts of burden are as tall as they are massive. Barrel bodied and thick limbed, the ponderous jiggle horse is deceptivly...jiggly. These powerful creatures are able to pull and carry loads well beyond that of their draft horse counter parts, and their muscle rivals the finest of war horses. However, their slow and docile nature makes them unsuitable for battle. Proprieters of Jiggle Horses will sing their praise as a luxury ride, comfortable and smooth with far less saddle soreness than any competing horse on the market... Even when worn bareback!

History

The Jiggle Horse was first registred as a recognized beast of burden breed in the Grand Council registery, this heartwarming horse's line was founded by a dwarf by the name of Hetrot Horsehair. Their foundtation bloodstock is found in Starwatch, south east of the Blood Gulch mountains. Hetrot devised the breed when he first arrived in The Consul with a tourist visa from the [Shale Consulate]. His first experience riding down from the Blood Gulch (and paying for the miserable trip) lead him to a fortuitous passion in horse breeding.

Physiology

The Jiggle Horse is known for its barrel styled body, short neck and ample muscle and fat giving it the trademarked name. An adult averages 15 to 17 hands, or around 6' feet at the shoulder, and weighs in around 2,000 pounds! Oft grays, chestnuts and occasioanly black, their legs are heavily feathered.

Diet and Environment

The Jiggle Horse has a heavy grain diet, though the vast plains surrounding Starwatch make for ideal ruffage. This ruffage is hearty and full of wild wheats, adding to the Jiggle Horse's carb heavy life style.
