Cymere Outcrops

Unlike the tiny crystals of Cymere that appear spontaneously in Saekai, Cymere outcrops are massive, static growths of Cymere that jut from the ground. Cymere crystals have power proportional to their size, and the outcrops–which can be several cubic meters in size and weigh several thousand kilograms–are no different. Even the smallest outcrop contains an unfathomable amount of magical energy that can be tapped by mages to provide a whole city with magic energy, or mined for enough Cymere to power thousands of wondrous magical artifacts.
It should come as no surprise that Cymere outcrops are greatly sought-after. A group that can lay claim to and control a single outcrop can become a mighty civilization overnight, and the people of Saekai can only speculate in hushed whispers about the godlike power that would visit whoever could control two outcrops.

Known Outcrops

There are four known, confirmed outcrops in Saekai. Rumors abound of more, particularly deep under the ocean, in underground caverns, or on the island of Stros Kalai.

• A nameless outcrop on the island of Pulari
• Sumaka, an outcrop in the Choking Forest controlled by the Bayinae.
• The outcrop surrounded by the floating city of Nova, controlled by the Osaedai.
• A nameless outcrop on the island Amuhali
