Choking Forest

The Choking Forest is the common name for an area of thick tropical monsoon forest that envelops the central region of Kaipei. It is a land of tall, slender trees arranged in dense clusters, and during the wet season, the forest becomes quite literally choked with thick coastal fog. The forest's southernmost regions are home to the Bayinae people, whose civilization surrounds the Cymere Outcrop Sumaka. Beyond their territory, the forest's center turns to an expansive and muddy bog. The combination of the marsh stretching in all directions and the impenetrable fog make for terrifying scenery, and there are no shortage of horror stories about what horrors one may find lurking in the deepest reaches of the Choking Forest.
