Meenlock Glass
Meenlock glass is not actually a glass, but a glass-like substance formed from the hair of a Meenlock. While many of its properties are similar to standard glass, its low melting point when compared to regular glass allows it to be easily melted and shaped in a fire pit. This has lead to it being a popular, albeit rarer, substitute to glass for adventurers who need to make their own containers while traveling. It also tends to break into larger, duller chunks than glass, making it a safer alternative to regular glass. While the glass can be partially dyed using certain techniques, it will permanently maintain a brownish tone.
Properties
Material Characteristics
Meenlock glass looks like a brownish glass, though it has a slightly rougher texture than glass. It is clear enough to see through fairly easily at thicknesses as large as one meter, though impurities in the material can cause it to be harder to see through.
History & Usage
Reusability & Recycling
Though a very small amount of the glass burns off during melting, the majority of the glass can be reheated to be shaped into any object required at the time, making it extremely reusable.
Distribution
Storage
Meenlock glass is often stored in large cubes or sheets, and then cut into smaller segments for resale.
Law & Regulation
Meenlock glass is banned from Painting.
