Leshibe
The Leshibe are a mythical species of fae supposedly found in a variety of forests across the Material Plane and other planes containing large forests. As the subjects of a long and deep mythology, they are viewed as everything from protectors of the forest to demigods to evil spirits cursed to roam their lands.
It is said that they were created by the god Veles to serve as his material servants in lieu of an Avatar.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The leshibe are described as massive, hulking humanoids with moss, vines, and other plant matter growing from their bodies. They are generally described as being between 8 and 12 feet tall, with arms as thick as tree trunks. According to various folk tales however, they are excellent shapeshifters and can drastically increase or reduce their size to transform into another woodland creature.
Ecology and Habitats
All stories of leshibes have been centered around forests or other woodlands, making this likely the only biome they habitate. Despite their size they seeminly leave no trace of their presence beyond the occasional disturbed vegetation.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The diet of a leshibe is entirely unknown. This however hasn't stopped the spread of stories of children being stolen and eaten by them.
Behaviour
Almost nothing is known about the leshibe's behavior due to their elusive nature outside of what's been mythologized.
